| The Inn and the surrounding 100 acres is owned by the Wolcott & Rhodes families. Not wanting to see their beloved childhood home fall into ruin, they devised a plan to open their home up as a retreat for travelers to the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Inn is one of the oldest and most well-known B&Bs in the area. |
The Mountain Rose Inn is currently managed by Innkeepers, Mike & Dora Jane Barwick. Originally from South Carolina, they specialize in showing that famous Southern hospitality to the Inn's guests.
Caring for this fabulous Inn and for its guests is their current passion in life. They are certainly hoping that you will come visit soon. |

On the occasion that Mike & Dora Jane are away, Carl & Carol Rupprecht, the Inn's assistant Innkeepers, warmly greet and care for guests. After living in Rhode Island for many years, Carl & Carol moved back to Woolwine to enjoy retirement. One of their great joys is being gracious hosts at the Inn and providing guests with a wonderful stay in their beloved Blue Ridge Mountains.
Part of the Inn's charm is found in the current four-legged occupants. Maggie & Cat enjoy greeting guests and keeping them company when they are exploring the Inn's grounds. Mike & Dora Jane's two 'babies' understand that some folks may be allergic to their fur, and so they do not visit inside the guest part of the Inn. |
