The Inn was very well kept and
presented very nicely. The rooms were clean and tidy. The staff was extremely welcoming and warm. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay here again.

About the Mountain Rose Inn

The Inn and the surrounding 100 acres are owned by the Wolcott & Rhodes families. Not wanting to see their beloved childhood home fall into ruin, they devised a plan to open their home up as a retreat for travelers to the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Inn is one of the oldest and most well-known B&Bs in the area.

Dawn Oliver - Assistant InnkeepersThe Mountain Rose Inn is currently managed by Innkeepers, Bryce & Dawn Oliver.  A native of Woolwine, VA, Dawn has been an integral part of the Inn's team since 2011. With her skills, creative gifts and love of baking, Dawn is a natural at caring for guests. Also an experienced baker, she creates lovely wedding and anniversary cakes for the Inn's packages and enjoys making the most delectable dishes for the Inn's 4-course breakfast and afternoon snacks. She also has a great love for all animals and is a certified VA  animal rehabilitator and can share wonderful stories of the animals that she has raised, cared for and sucessfully reintroduced into the wild.

Cat at the Mountain Rose InnPart of the Inn's charm is found in its current four-legged occupant. Mr. Cat, a rescue who came to the Inn in 2005, enjoys greeting guests and keeping them company when they are exploring the Inn's grounds. He is often found curled up napping in one of the Inn's front porch rocking chairs. This sweetheart of a boy understands that some folks may be allergic to his fur, and so he does not visit inside the Inn.
