The Mountain Rose Inn is the perfect destination for a bird watching vacation.

With its spacious porches, creek-side hammocks, Adirondack chairs, and benches, there is always a front-row seat at our Virginia bed and breakfast for watching the birds and butterflies as they go about their daily activities. The Inn has many bird feeders, hummingbird sippers, birdhouses, and bathing areas on the property. We enjoy the birds as much as our guests do and encourage birds to feed and live here on the property. They are fascinating creatures and ones that we are always delighted to have as guests!

A Birder's Paradise Package

Because we are new to birding ourselves, we wanted to create a package just for bird lovers who also might want to be guests at our Inn. This package includes three nights in one of our comfortable queen bedded rooms. Each morning, your breakfast is your choice. Enjoy an elegant four-course breakfast in the Inn's dining room while watching the birds at the front lawn feeder or take a to-go breakfast with you if you have a particular birding destination to reach before the early birds do. Both days, 2 bagged lunches will be waiting for you to take and enjoy as you watch the birds by the creek or follow one of the Virginia Birding & Wildlife Trail Loops. Finally, you will be given a $30 gift certificate towards dinner at one of our local restaurants. Cost per couple is $490, not including tax. Upgrade to a king bedded room for an additional $60.
